Banda Prakash Mudiraj (born 1954) is an Indian politician and the Member of Telangana Legislative Council from November 2021. Earlier he served as Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha representing Telangana from 23rd March 2018 to 4th December 2021. He won the voting with 33 votes. The Rajya Sabha (meaning the "Council of States") is the upper house of the Parliament of India. Telangana elects 7 seats and they are indirectly elected by the state legislators of Telangana. The number of seats allocated to the party, are determined by the number of seats a party possesses during nomination and the party nominates a member to be voted on. Warangal District
Warangal district, formerly Warangal Rural district, is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The district shares boundaries with Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Hanamkonda, Mulugu and Bhupalpally districts. As of June 2021, Hanamkonda tentatively serves as the district headquarters of both Hanamkonda and Warangal districts. Warangal city is proposed to replace Hanamkonda as the new headquarters of the Warangal district. The district was formed in 2016 by carving out Warangal Rural district from the erstwhile Warangal district. In August 2021, the Warangal Rural district was renamed back to Warangal district. The Telangana Legislative Council or Telangana Saasana Mandali is the upper house of the Telangana Legislature of the Indian state of Telangana; the lower house being the Telangana Legislative Assembly. State Legislative Councils Of India
The State Legislative Council, or Vidhan Parishad, or Saasana Mandali is the upper house in those states of India that have a bicameral state legislature; the lower house being the State Legislative Assembly. Its establishment is defined in Article 169 of the Constitution of India. As of 2022, 6 out of 28 states have a State Legislative Council.
