Banca Apulia S.p.A. marketed as BancApulia is an Italian bank incorporated in San Severo, in the Province of Foggia, Apulia region ( it, Puglia). The main office of the bank was located in Bari, in the centre of Apulia region instead. The bank was takeover by Intesa Sanpaolo, after the previous owner was under administration and then being liquidated. History Banca Apulia S.p.A. was found in Torremaggiore on 24 March 1924 under the name Banco di Torremaggiore, later changing its name to Banco di Torremaggiore e della Daunia spa, then to Banco di Torremaggiore e San Severo spa. Felice Chiro’ was Chairman from 1966 to 1998. In the early 80’s he appointed a young bank manager and they led the growth of the bank for the following years. San Severo (; formerly known as Castellum Sancti Severini, then San Severino and Sansevero; locally ) is a city and comune of c. 51,919 inhabitants in the province of Foggia, Apulia, south-eastern Italy. Rising on the foot of the spur of Gargano, San Severo adjoins the communes of Apricena in the north, Rignano Garganico and San Marco in Lamis in the east, Foggia and Lucera in the south, and Torremaggiore and San Paolo di Civitate in the west. History and profile ''Società'' was founded as a quarterly magazine in Florence in 1945. The founders were Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli, Cesare Luporini and Romano Bilenchi.
