Bambino Cinema
The Bambino Cinema, is located in Saddar area of Karachi. History The Bambino Cinema was built in the 1960s as the first cinema in Pakistan with a double balcony seating and 70 mm film screen and projection equipment. It was inaugurated by President Ayub Khan in 1968. During the 1970s, when the Pakistani film industry was in its boom, a mini-cinema Scala was built on its first floor. The cinema is also famous because it was built by Hakim Ali Zardari, father of Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari, who sold it later. Saddar ( ur, ), also known as Saddar Bazaar, is a neighbourhood in Karachi, Pakistan. The locality was developed as the primary commercial district during the period of British-era rule in Karachi. As a result, Saddar contains the large concentration of colonial-era architecture in Karachi. Saddar Town
Saddar Town ( sd, صدر ٽائون; ur, ), lies in the central part of the city that formed much of the historic colonial core of Karachi. Saddar Town was formed in 2001 as part of The Local Government Ordinance 2001, and was subdivided into 11 union councils. The town system was disbanded in 2011, and Saddar Town was re-organized as part of Karachi South District in 2015. 70 mm film (or 65 mm film) is a wide high-resolution film gauge for motion picture photography, with a negative area nearly 3.5 times as large as the standard 35 mm motion picture film format.
