Ballybogy
Ballybogy, or Ballybogey, is a small village and townland in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located 7 km north-north-west of Ballymoney and 7 km east of Coleraine, lying within the Causeway Coast and Glens district. It is known as ''Boggie'' in Scots. Retrieved 21 August 2012. It had a population of 539 people (209 households) in the 2011 Census. Famous Boggies include Kurtis Ashcroft, fitness coach with the 2021/22 all Ireland winning Antrim camogie team. Kurtis also worked in the safari park as a lion tamer, a role that equipped him well for his camogie role. It has proved particularly useful since he started working in Slaughtneil. Ballymoney ( ga, Baile Monaidh , meaning 'townland of the moor') is a small town and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. The civil parish of Ballymoney is situated in the historic baronies of Dunluce Upper and Kilconway in County Antrim, as well as the barony of North East Liberties of Coleraine in County Londonderry. It had a population of 10,402 people at the 2011 Census. Ballymoney is located on the main road between Coleraine and Ballymena, with good road and rail connections to the main cities in Northern Ireland, Belfast and Derry.
