The West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, 2001 was held in Indian state of West Bengal to elect 294 members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Patit Paban Pathak
Patit ( Punjabi: ਪਤਿਤ ) is a term which refers to a person who has been initiated into the Sikh religion, but violates the religion's precepts. The term is sometimes translated as apostate. Its legal definition as inserted in the Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1925, through the amending Act XI of 1944:: ''Patit means a person who being a Keshdhari Sikh, trims or shaves his beard or keshas or who after taking amrit commits any one or more of the four kurahits.'' Delhi Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1971, contains a similar definition except a reference to keshdhari because unlike Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1925, it defines only keshdhari, and not sahajdhari, as Sikhs. 2006 West Bengal State Assembly Election
Assembly elections were held in Indian state of West Bengal to elect the members of West Bengal Legislative Assembly . The election took place in five phases between 17 April and 8 May. The votes were counted three days later on May 11, 2006, and, thanks to the electronic voting machines, all the results were out by the end of the day. The Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Front won the election with an overwhelming majority. The previous government, formed by the Left Front and led by chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, completed its full five-year term in office following its coming to power in 2001. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (abbreviated as CPI(M)/CPIM/CPM) is a Marxist–Leninist communist political party in India. Dipsita Dhar (born 9 August 1993) is an Indian politician and student activist. She is the All India Joint Secretary of Students' Federation of India. She was the CPI(M) candidate from Bally constituency for 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. Baishali Dalmiya
Baishali Dalmiya is the director of the construction company M L Dalmiya & Co. Ltd. She is a former member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. From 2016 to April 2021 she represented the Bally Assembly Constituency. She is daughter of Indian cricket administrator and businessman Jagmohan Dalmiya. 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election
A Legislative Assembly election was held in 2016 for the 294 seats (out of 295 seats) of the '' Vidhan Sabha'' (Vidhān Sabhā) in the state of West Bengal in India. The All India Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee won 211 seats, and thus was reelected with an enhanced majority.
