At a meeting held at the time, it decided to enter a team in the Desmond District League for the coming 1984/85 season. The club's colours were agreed to yellow and green, which with little variation, remain in place today. The club entered Division 2B of the Desmond District League, and the club played their first competitive game in September 1984, in Askeaton against the local B team. Ballingarry, County Limerick
Ballingarry () is a village in County Limerick, Ireland. It lies between Rathkeale and Kilmallock on the R518 road. The population was 521 at the 2016 census. Ballingarry had a vital weaving and linen industry until the Great Famine in 1845. Canon Edward Joseph Hannan, one of the founders of Scottish football club Hibernian, was born in Ballingarry in 1836. Ballingarry has a long tradition with hurling. The local association football (soccer) team is Ballingarry A.F.C. The local junior soccer team won the Desmond League Premier Division in 2003/2004 and the following year the Granagh-Ballingarry GAA club won the county Intermediate Hurling Championship to achieve Senior status for the first time since 1910. The Limerick Desmond League is an association football league featuring amateur, junior, youth and under-17 teams from the part of County Limerick west of the N20. Its top division, the Premier Division, is a seventh level division in the Republic of Ireland football league system. Desmond is a historical name associated with both Limerick and Munster. Anthony Forde (footballer)
Anthony Michael Forde (born 16 November 1993) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for club Wrexham. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at numerous youth levels. Career Wolves Forde moved to Wolves in summer 2009 to become part of their academy group. He made his senior debut on 23 August 2011 as a substitute in a League Cup tie against Northampton Town, and his Premier League debut on 26 November 2011 at Chelsea. He made six appearances in the top flight as the club suffered relegation. Having signed a contract to last until summer 2015, the winger started the first two games of new Wolves' manager Ståle Solbakken but gradually faded from the first team as the season progressed.
