Alina Bicar
Alina Joyce Bicar (born November 17, 1997) is a Filipina professional volleyball player currently playing for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. Bicar played setter for and was a former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses. Volleyball career UAAP Bicar was a member of UST Golden Tigresses collegiate women's University team. In 2020, Bicar became the captain of the team in the UAAP Season 82 volleyball tournaments but later on, the tournament was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. PVL Alina Bicar was a member and Captain of BaliPure Purest Water Defenders in 2021. She left BaliPure in the then ongoing 2021 PVL Open Conference and signed for the Petro Gazz Angels. Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference
The Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference was the first conference of the Premier Volleyball League (28th conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference started on April 30, 2017 and concluded on June 13, 2017. All elimination round games were played at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the semifinals and Finals games were held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. The women's tournament was supposed to feature the use of foreign reinforcements, however, they were initially unable to play due to difficulty in securing their international transfer certificates (ITC) from the FIVB. On May 17, 2017, Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI) confirmed that the FIVB has approved the ITC requests for the imports. The imports began to play on May 18, 2017. Roger Gorayeb
Roger Gorayeb is a Filipino volleyball coach and former college player. He is noted for being a multi-titled and longtime coach of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Manila women's team of the NCAA. Career Gorayeb has served as head coach of the San Sebastian College women's volleyball team. Under Gorayeb's watch, San Sebastian grabbed 11 consecutive championships for the women's team from 1986 to 1997, 22 women's volleyball titles, 6 titles in women's beach volleyball and 11 in junior's volleyball. Gorayeb started his coaching career as a player-coach in 1984, when he was tasked to lead San Sebastian's men's team when their Australian coach left the team. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference is the eight conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''35th conference of the former Shakey's V-League''). The conference started on August 11, 2019 and ended on November 9, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. Philippine Air Force Women's Volleyball Team returned in action and two new teams joined the conference named Chef's Classics Lady Red Spikers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans (second team of Rebisco).
