Baldevins Bryllup
''Baldevins bryllup'' ( en, Baldevin's wedding}) is a 1926 Norwegian comedy film directed by George Schnéevoigt, starring Einar Sissener and Victor Bernau. The film is based on a play by Vilhelm Krag, and tells the story of how Simen Sørensen (Bernau) manages to get his friend Baldevin Jonassen (Sissener) married to the lady next door. The film was renovated in 2006, for the 100th anniversary of Kristiansand Cinema. George Schnéevoigt
George Schnéevoigt (born Fritz Ernst Georg Fischer; 23 December 1893 – 6 February 1961) was a Danish film director, cinematographer, and actor of the 1910s to early 1940s. Schnéevoigt was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23 December 1893 to the Finnish-born photographer and actress Siri Schnéevoigt, and Hermann Friedrich Fischer. He was the father of photographer Alf Schnéevoigt. Early life When Schnéevoigt was 14 years old he traveled with his mother to Berlin as a result of his parents divorce, there he took his mothers last name. Already in his school years Schnéevoigt had developed an interest in acting. He trained as a photographer and studied with actress Tilla Durieux and actor Ludvig Hartau. Career Schnéevoigt made his debut as an actor at the age of 19 at the Neues Schauspilhaus in Berlin, where he met his future wife, the painter Tilly von Kaulbach. Karl Holter
Karl Holter (June 30, 1885 – June 7, 1963) was a Norwegian actor, writer, and Waffen--SS soldier. Holter was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He debuted in 1912 at the Central Theater and after that was mainly engaged with the Norwegian Theater until 1935. He was also a journalist for the newspaper ''Stavanger Aftenblad'' from 1917 to 1920. Literary activity In 1936, at age 51, Holter won the Norwegian part of an international novel competition with the story ''Skinnbrevet'' (The Parchment Letter). This was also his debut as a writer. In 1941, Holter became a member of Nasjonal Samling. The same year, he directed Henrik Ibsen's '' Ghosts'' for NRK's Radio Theater. In 1942 he volunteered for active front duty. After a short period of officer training, at age 57 Holter was sent to the Leningrad Front from October 1942 to March 1943 as a war correspondent. Hilda Fredriksen (December 10, 1873 – June 30, 1945) was a Norwegian stage and film actress. Family Hilda Fredriksen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway, as the daughter of the police officer Carl Fredriksen (1847–1902) and Maren Gustava Gulliksen (1848–1924). She was the sister of the actress Ragnhild Fredriksen (1882–1963), who married the actor Ingolf Schanche. Hilda Fredriksen was unmarried. Jens Holstad
Jens Holstad (January 30, 1889 – October 6, 1961) was a Norwegian actor. Holstad was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), and he made his stage debut in 1906 at the Fahlstrøm Theater. He made his film debut in 1912 in Adam Eriksen's film '' Anny – en gatepiges roman''. He was most active in the 1930s and 1940s, and he appeared in a total of twelve film roles, with his last in ''Ti gutter og en gjente'' in 1944. Alongside films, Holstad was also active in theater, where he was involved with the New Theater from the 1920s to the 1950s. He also performed at the National Theater in Oslo. Vilhelm Krag
Vilhelm Krag (24 December 1871 – 10 July 1933) was a Norwegian poet, author, journalist and cultural personality. Known for coining the term Sørlandet to describe a region of Norway, he was the son of Peter Rasmus Krag and younger brother of the novelist Thomas Krag. His first volume of poetry, which came out in 1891, included many of his best-known poems: "Fandango", "Der skreg en fugl" (A bird cried), "Liden Kirsten" (Little Kirsten), "Majnat" (May night), "Mens jeg venter" (While I'm waiting), "Moderen synger" (The mother sings) and "Og jeg vil ha mig en hjertenskjær" (And I will have me a sweetheart).
