Agustín Balbuena
Agustín Alberto Balbuena (1 September 1945 – 9 March 2021) was an Argentine football striker who won with Club Atlético Independiente four Copa Libertadores and one Copa Intercontinental. Career Balbuena began his professional playing career in 1964 with home town club Colón de Santa Fe, after a spell with Racing Club. He played for Rosario Central where he was a losing finalist in the 1970 Nacional. In 1971 Balbuena joined Club Atlético Independiente where he became an important player during the most successful period in the history of the club. He appeared with the team that won the 1971 Metropolitano to qualify for the Copa Libertadores. Independiente won Copa Libertadores on four consecutive occasions: 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1975. He scored the winning goal in the Copa Intercontinental in 1973 against Juventus. Bernardo De Balbuena
Bernardo de Balbuena (c. 1561 in Valdepeñas, Spain – October 1627, in San Juan, Puerto Rico) was a Spanish poet. He was the first of a long series of Latin American poets who extolled the special beauties of the New World. Life Born in Valdepeñas, Spain around 1561, Balbuena came to the New World as a young adult and lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco and Mexico City, where he studied theology. In 1606 he returned to Spain and earned the degree of Doctor of Theology, and rose within the Church to become Abbot in Jamaica (1610) and one of the early Bishops of Puerto Rico (1620). ''(in Latin)'' Despite his priestly duties, he found time to write long and elegant verses which are excellent examples of the Baroque tendency to heavily load (and sometimes overload) poetry with highly detailed descriptions. Fabián Cornelio Balbuena González (born 23 August 1991) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A team Corinthians and the Paraguay national team. He is also under contract with Russian Premier League club Dynamo Moscow, but that contract is suspended. He played for Cerro Porteño PF, Rubio Ñu, Nacional and Libertad in the Paraguayan Primera División, before joining Corinthians of Brazil in 2016.
