Bal Gopal Maharjan
Bal Gopal Maharjan ( ne, बाल गोपाल महर्जन) is a retired Nepali football player who most recently was coaching the Nepal men's national team. He was in the squad which won the historic 1993 SAG gold. After his retirement from football Bal Gopal has been busy coaching different age level Nepalese teams. Career His major achievement during his playing career was the 1993 South Asian Games gold medal. From 1991 to 1993, he played for Bangladeshi club Brothers Union. After retirement, he started his coaching career with Three Star Club of Nepal. Maharjan led the national team to victory in the 2015 SAFF U-19 Championship and again in 2016 Bangabandhu Cup. On 1 June 2016, Bal Gopal was appointed head coach of Brothers Union on a three-month contract, thus became the first Nepali to coach a top-tier football club in another country. Lalitpur Metropolitan City, historically Patan ( sa, पाटन ''Pāṭana'', Nepal bhasa : '' Yela'', ), is the fourth most populous city of Nepal after Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bharatpur, and it is located in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley, a new metropolitan city of Nepal. Koji Gyotoku
is a former Japanese Association football, football player and manager. He is the current head coach of the Cambodia national under-21 football team and Bati Youth Football Academy, Bati Academy. Playing career Gyotoku was born January 28, 1965, in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He went to school at Shizuoka Municipal Shimizu Fifth and Tokai Western High School. After high school, he went to Tokai University. Gyotoku began his football career with SV Werder Bremen II, Werder Bremen II, a team in West Germany. After playing for Werder Bremen II, he went on to play for Nagoya Grampus, Toyota Motors. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali language, Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. It is responsible for the Nepal national football team, national team as well as club competitions. 2019 South Asian Games
The 2019 South Asian Games, officially the XIII South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event which was originally slated to be held from 9 to 18 March 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. However, the dates were postponed and the event was held from 1–10 December 2019, coincidentally at the same time as the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. The new dates were confirmed at the South Asian Olympic Council Executive Board meeting in Bangkok on 1 March 2019. The Dasarath Stadium hosted the opening ceremony along with the men's football tournament, with the stadium's renovation after the 2015 earthquake completed in under 10 months with an increased capacity of 20,000, along with the closing ceremony on 10 December. The South Asian Games (SAG or SA Games), formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games (SAFG or SAF Games), is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC), formed in 1983. Currently, the SAOC comprises 7 member countries, namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan participated 4 times in the SAF Games since 2004, but left the SAOC after participating in the 2016th edition and joined CAOC. Bangabandhu Cup
The Bangabandhu Cup, also known as the Bangabandhu Gold Cup, is an international football tournament organised by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) as a tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who is the founding father of Bangladesh. It has been played sporadically since 1996, and was resurrected in 2015. Up to the 2016 edition, most of the participating countries in the tournament sent their youth national teams, their second teams or club sides. In the 2018 edition, all participating nations sent their first team except the Philippines. Bangladesh Federation Cup
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. The South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly known as SAFF Championship (previously known as ''South Asian Association of Regional Co-operation Gold Cup'' and ''South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup''), is the main international association football competition of the men's national football teams governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).
