Bakhshi–Wazir
Bakhshi-Wazir were a Pakistani composer duo who created music for films, television, and radio from the 1960s to the 1990s. The duo partnered two musicians ''Wazir Hussain'' and ''Bakhshi'' from Lahore. The duo is primarily known for composing a Punjabi song "''Jadon Houly Jayi Laina Mera Naa''" (Singer: Noor Jehan, Movie: ''Att Khuda Da Vair'') in 1970 that became an iconic track in Pakistan's Punjabi music history. Career The musicians ''Wazir Hussain'' and ''Bakhshi'' were two friends from Bhati Gate, Lahore, who later formed a musical duo as ''Bakhshi-Wazir''. Wazir Hussain, who got music training from his paternal uncle Chote Ashiq Ali Khan, was expert in Raags, whereas Bukhshi was skilled in percussion, orchestra, and other musical arrangements. Starting their music career in 1961 with a film "''Bekhabar''", the duo wasted little time in making their reputation in the Lollywood films. Inayat Hussain Bhatti
Inayat Hussain Bhatti ( ur, ), (12 January 1928 – 31 May 1999) was a Pakistani film playback singer, film actor, producer, director, script writer, social worker, columnist, religious scholar and a promoter of the development of the Punjabi language and literature. Tassawar Khanum
Tassawar Khanum (born 1950) is a Pakistani Ghazal and playback film singer. She is mostly known for singing in Urdu and Punjabi in Pakistani films and television during the 1970s and 1980s. Early life and career Tassawar Khanum was born in Gujrat, Pakistan. During her childhood she was a neighbor of singer Pervaiz Mehdi who was a good friend of her father. Masood Rana
Masood Rana ( ur, , 6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in both Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record of singing more than 300 film songs in each of the two languages - Urdu and Punjabi, an all-time record shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Hazeen Qadri
Bashir Ahmad (9 April 1926 – 19 March 1991), known as Hazin Qadri, was a Punjabi film song lyricist and film screenwriter from Pakistan. Early life Qadri was born Bashir Ahmad in a small village 'Raja Tamoli' near Gujranwala, British India on 9 April 1926. He could not complete his education beyond the elementary or primary school due to poverty. As a young man, he was eager to get an opportunity to try his luck in the then newly established Pakistani film industry after 1947. After two years of struggle, he was given a chance to write his first film song by the veteran film producer and director Anwar Kamal Pasha for his upcoming film Do Ansoo (1950).
