Bairagi Kailaka Kabitaharu
''Bairagi Kailaka Kabitharu'' () is a 1974 Nepali poetry collection by Bairagi Kainla. It was published in 1974 (2031 BS) by Sajha Prakashan. It is the first book of the author. The poems in this collection were later reprinted in a book titled ''Bairagi Kainla ka Sankalit Kavita'' with his other poems by Phoenix Books. Kainla is known as progenitor of the Tesro Aayam (Third Dimension) movement in Nepali literature alongside Indra Bahadur Rai and Ishwor Ballav. He received the Sajha Puraskar for this book. Synopsis The poems in this collection deals with the social and cultural elements of the Nepalese society. The poet uses inspiration from Greek, African as well as Limbu mythologies to draw parallel to present day society. ''Ghumne Mechmathi Andho Manche'' ( ne, घुम्ने मेचमाथि अन्धो मान्छे) is a 1969 Nepali-language poetry collection by Bhupi Sherchan. ''Gauri'' ( ne, गौरी; first edition: 2015 BS (1959-60 AD)) is an eponymous tragic epic written by Nepali "National Poet" ( ne, राष्ट्रकवि) Madhav Prasad Ghimire, in memory of his first wife, following her premature death. It is widely regarded as one of the poet's finest works; it is also the most popular. Ghimire has named ''Gauri'' as one of his favourites, among his works. Inspiration Madhav Prasad Ghimire, at fifteen years of age, was married to his first wife Gauri Pokharel, herself aged only ten, in 1990 BS. She died after eleven years of marriage in which they had two children together. ''Muna Madan'' ( ne, मुनामदन) is a 1936 Nepali-language episodic love poem written by Laxmi Prasad Devkota. It is about Madan, newly married to Muna, who leaves for Lhasa in Tibet to make his fortune, despite protests from his wife. Synopsis ''Muna Madan'' follows the life of Madan, a Chhetri man from Kathmandu who leaves Muna, his wife, to go to Lhasa to earn a fortune. He is cautioned against leaving by both Muna and his elderly mother, but he decides to leave anyway. While he initially intends to spend just a few weeks in Lhasa, he spends a longer time there, becoming entranced by the city's beauty. Manjushree Thapa
Manjushree Thapa (born 1968 in Kathmandu) is a Nepalese–born Canadian essayist, fiction writer, translator and editor. She is one of the first English writer of Nepali descent to be published internationally. '' Forget Kathmandu'' and '' The Tutor of History'' are some of her most well known works. Biography Thapa grew up in Nepal, Canada and the United States. She began to write upon completing her BFA in photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her first book was ''Mustang Bhot in Fragments'' (1992). Indra Bahadur Rai
Indra Bahadur Rai (3 February 1927 – 6 March 2018) was an Indian Nepali language writer and literary critic from Darjeeling, India. He wrote multiple essays, short stories, novels and criticism in his lifetime. ''Kheer'' and ''Raat Bhari Huri Chalyo'' are some of his most popular stories. He started a literary movement in Nepali literature known as Tesro Aayam with Ishwar Ballav and Bairagi Kainla. In 1977, he won the first ever Sahitya Akademi Award for Nepali language.
