Ross Napier
Ross Napier (April 21, 1929 – November 2, 2004) was one of Australia's leading radio and TV writers from the 1950s to 1990s, as well as an accomplished novelist. Born in Sydney in 1929, he began writing short stories for magazines while still in high school, selling his first script at 17. Shortly after, he became a staff writer for Grace Gibson Radio Productions, and during the 1950s and 1960s his radio serials were broadcast Australia-wide and internationally. This firmly established Napier as one of Australia's leading drama writers. Whilst at Gibson's he met Ann Fuller, who he married in 1953. Michael Jenkins (director)
Michael Jenkins (born 1946) is an Australian writer, producer and film and television director. He is the creator of the crime drama television series '' Scales of Justice'', '' Blue Murder'' and '' Wildside'', all of which deal with corruption in the New South Wales police force. He also directed the cult film '' The Heartbreak Kid'', and its spin-off series ''Heartbreak High''. Jenkins is one of the most highly regarded Australian directors of the 1990s, known for his distinctive, gritty style, particularly for his use of multiple hand-held cameras and semi-improvised dialogue. Jenkins garnered controversy in 2007, when he was announced as the director of ''The Wrong Girl'', a film about the Sydney gang rapes in 2000, written with Nicholas Hammond. Peter Maxwell
Peter Maxwell (23 January 1921 – 5 April 2013) born as Peter Magitai, was a British, and later Australian film director, director and screenwriter of television and film. Biography He was born in Vienna, Austria, to newspaper journalist Leo Magatai and wife Johanna, his family fled Vienna in the 1930s, and he changed his surname to enter the British Army, and after having been posted to India, returned to Britain to work as an assistant director to Alexander Korda in 1949, he worked briefly in Australia in the early 1960s, before returning to England. Mark Lee (born 1958) is an Australian theatre and film actor and director, and singer. He played the lead role in the 1981 film ''Gallipoli'', alongside Mel Gibson.Michael Ferguson and Michael S. John Neil McCallum, (14 March 19183 February 2010) was an Australian theatre and film actor, highly successful in the United Kingdom. He was also a television producer. Early life McCallum's father, John Neil McCallum Sr., was a theatre owner and entrepreneur, who built and for many years ran the 2,000 seat Cremorne Theatre on the banks of the Brisbane River. After emigrating from Scotland, McCallum Snr. became an accomplished musician, and was soon heavily involved in Brisbane's entertainment scene.
