Baie-du-Febvre is a municipality in the Nicolet-Yamaska Regional County Municipality of Quebec, Canada. The population as of the Canada 2021 Census was 961. The municipality lies on the south shore of Lac Saint-Pierre, a section of the Saint Lawrence River. Lac Saint-Pierre
Lake Saint Pierre (; abe, Nebesek) is a lake in Quebec, Canada, a widening of the Saint Lawrence River between Sorel-Tracy and Trois-Rivières. It is located downstream, and northeast, of Montreal; and upstream, and southwest, of Quebec City. The end of the lake delimits the beginning of the estuary of Saint Lawrence. This lake which is long (excluding Sorel Islands) and wide, is part of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Including its shoreline, islands, and wetlands, the lake is a nature reserve. The body of water is recognized as a Ramsar site and as a Biosphere Reserve, due to the presence of many marshes and wetlands that are frequented by waterfowl. Pierreville, Quebec
Pierreville () is a municipality in Nicolet-Yamaska Regional County Municipality, Quebec, located at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Saint-François rivers, at the edge of Lac Saint-Pierre. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 2,176. Pierreville faces the town of Saint-François-du-Lac across the Saint-François river, and lies at the junction of Route 132 and Route 226. Part of the Abenaki Indian reserve of Odanak is an enclave within the city limits of Pierreville. The limits of the reserve begin only a short walk away from the town's main street. Lorenzo De Nevers
Lorenzo de Nevers (June 13, 1877 – March 29, 1967) was a Canadian painter. Early life One of sixteen Children of Abraham Boisvert and Marie Biron, he was born at Baie-du-Febvre (today called Saint-Elphège), in Yamaska, Quebec. Education In 1898 his family moved to Rhode Island, where his parents registered him in drawing courses in the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1899 he moved to Paris to study art. In Paris, under the supervision of Benjamin Constant and Jean-Paul Laurens, he followed studied for two years at the Julian Academy. He was a colleague of Pablo Picasso and Borduas. According to , Lorenzo was admitted to Paris Fine Arts in 1902. He spent ten years under the supervision of painting masters such as Gabriel Ferrier and Léon Bonnat. He came ninth of 400 participants when he competed for the Prix de Rome, with a painting titled ''The escape to Egypt''. Snow Goose
The snow goose (''Anser caerulescens'') is a species of goose native to North America. Both white and dark morphs exist, the latter often known as blue goose. Its name derives from the typically white plumage. The species was previously placed in the genus ''Chen'', but is now typically included in the "gray goose" genus ''Anser''. Snow geese breed north of the timberline in Greenland, Canada, Alaska, and the northeastern tip of Siberia, and spend winters in warm parts of North America from southwestern British Columbia through parts of the United States to Mexico.
