Bahraini Government
The Cabinet of Bahrain is the chief executive body of the Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Article 32 (b) of the 2002 Constitution, "executive authority is vested in the King together with the Council of Ministers and Ministers". The Council of Ministers ( Cabinet) is appointed directly by the King (Article 33d). __TOC__ Bahrain has had only two Prime Ministers since the country's independence in 1971, Khalifah ibn Sulman al-Khalifah, the uncle of the reigning King Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah. Khalifah ibn Sulman al-Khalifah died on 11 November 2020, and was succeeded by the King's son, Crown Prince Salman. As of 2010, roughly half of the cabinet ministers have been selected from the Al Khalifa family, including the Minister of Defence, Minister of Interior, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, and Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs. Executive (government)
The Executive, also referred as the Executive branch or Executive power, is the term commonly used to describe that part of government which enforces the law, and has overall responsibility for the governance of a state. In political systems based on the separation of powers, such as the USA, government authority is distributed between several branches in order to prevent power being concentrated in the hands of a single person or group. To achieve this, each branch is subject to checks by the other two; in general, the role of the Legislature is to pass laws, which are then enforced by the Executive, and interpreted by the Judiciary. The Executive can be also be the source of certain types of law, such as a decree or executive order. Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa ( ar, خالد بن عبد الله آل خليفة, born in 1944, Muharraq) is a Bahraini royal, engineer and deputy prime minister of Bahrain. Family His full name is Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Khalid bin Ali bin Khalifa bin Salman bin Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. Born in 1944 in the northern city of Muharraq, he was named after his grandfather, Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa (1853-1925). Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa
Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa (born September 1947) is a Bahraini politician, who served at different cabinet posts. Early life and education Mutawa was born in September 1947. He received degrees in philosophy, psychology, and social sciences from the University of Alexandria. Career In 1972, Mutawa started his career as the head of youth activities at the then-labor and social affairs ministry. In 1974, he began to serve at the prime minister's office. Jawad Al-Arrayedh
Jawad Salem Al Arrayed (born 1941) is a lawyer and former cabinet member in Bahrain. Currently, he is President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs (effectively, the General Counsel to the Cabinet) and former deputy prime ministers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Ministry Of Justice (Bahrain)
The Ministry of Justice of Bahrain was established shortly after Bahrain achieved independence in 1971, to replace the Department of Justice. The Ministry oversees all administrative aspects related to the court system in the country while keeping contact with the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and all relevant bodies in the justice system and law enforcement.
