Badnaam
''Badnaam'' is a Pakistani film in Urdu language, released on 2 September 1966, adapted from Saadat Hasan Manto's short story ''Jhumkay'' ("Ear-rings") by screenwriter Riaz Shahid. The film was directed and produced by Iqbal Shehzad, in his debut as a film director. ''Badnaam''s cast included Allauddin, Nabeela, Neelo, Ejaz Durrani, Diljeet Mirza, Hamid Wain, Rangeela and Zumurrud. The film celebrated its Silver Jubilee at the Pakistani cinemas in 1966 and was a box-office hit. The song of the film "Bare Bemurawat Hain Yei Husn Waale" was enormously popular, composed by Deebo Bhattacharya and is of the most prominent song of the singer Suraiya Multanikar. ''Badnaam'' received critical acclaim for its script and received three awards at Nigar Awards with a special award for Allauddin. Deebo Bhattacharya
Deebo Bhattacharya, also known as Debu Bhattacherjee, was a Pakistani- Bangladeshi musician, painter and singer who worked in Lollywood movies during the era of 1960s and 1970s. He was one of the well known composers in Bangladesh as well. He is known for composing the classic song, "''Bare bemurawat hein ye husn walay kahein dil laganay ki koshish na karna''" for the film Badnaam (1966). After 1971, he became a citizen of Bangladesh. Masood Rana ( ur, , 6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in both Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record of singing more than 300 film songs in each of the two languages - Urdu and Punjabi, an all-time record shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Riaz Shahid (1927 – 1 October 1972) was a Pakistani filmmaker, film writer, and a journalist. Early life and career Riaz Shahid was born in 1927 in Quetta, British India. He belonged to a Punjabi Kashmiri family. He was the father of a famous Pakistani film star Shaan Shahid. Shaan was only one year old, when his father died. His real name was ''Sheikh Riaz'', but was called by his nickname ''Shahid''. He was educated at Islamia College, Lahore, Pakistan.
