Bad Little Angel
''Bad Little Angel'' is a 1939 inspirational drama film starring Virginia Weidler as an orphan named Patsy Sanderson, living in America around 1900. The film was based on the story "Looking After Sandy" by Margaret Turnbull. Plot Treated with contempt in her small New England town, the lonely Patsy takes the advice of a dying woman and decides to live according to verses in the Bible. After reading a verse about Egypt, she flees her orphanage and spends almost all the money she has on a train ticket to a town called Egypt, New Jersey. There she finds friends and a new family, helps the downtrodden, and awakens the consciences of wrongdoers. Wilhelm Thiele
Wilhelm Thiele (1890–1975) was an Austrian screenwriter and film director. He directed over 40 films between 1921 and 1960. Life and career Thiele started his show career as a stage actor. He got his start in Austrian and German film during the 1920s, most often as a director of film comedies. His biggest success was the highly influential musical film '' The Three from the Filling Station'' (1930), the highest-grossing film in Germany that year. Byron Kay Foulger (August 27, 1898 – April 4, 1970) was an American character actor who over a 50-year career performed in hundreds of stage, film, and television productions. Terry (November 17, 1933 – September 1, 1945) was a female Cairn Terrier performer who appeared in many different movies, most famously as Toto in the film ''The Wizard of Oz'' (1939). It was her only credited role, though she was credited not as Terry but as Toto. She was owned and trained by Carl Spitz and Gabrielle Quinn. Life and career Terry, born in the midst of the Great Depression, was trained and owned by Carl Spitz. She was the mother of Rommy, another movie Cairn terrier, who appeared in other films including '' Reap the Wild Wind'' (1942) and '' Air Force'' (1943).
