''Back Like We Left Something'' is the second full-length studio album by UTP. It is their fourth release overall including the 2002 compilation '' The Compilation'' and 2004 EP ''Nolia Clap'', released on July 24, 2007 through Rap-a-Lot Records. Background The album was released over three years after '' The Beginning of the End''. By the time of the album's release group founder Juvenile had left the group, leaving UTP as a duo consisting of Wacko and Skip. However, Juvenile still contributed verses to four tracks on the album, "Damn Nigga Damn", "Loaded Up", "1st Piece" and "Gang Bang". UTP (group)
UTP was an American rap group composed of New Orleans rappers Juvenile, Wacko and Skip. The group was formed by Juvenile after he left Cash Money Records in 2002 and originally consisted of Juvenile, Wacko, Skip, Corey Cee, Soulja Slim and Young Buck. The group's first release was '' The Compilation'', which was released through Orpheus Records on October 8, 2002. The album featured performances by Young Buck, Soulja Slim, Juvenile, Wacko, Skip and Corey Cee both as a group or by themselves. A second compilation entitled ''Street Stories'' was made in 2003. During the early stages of his career, 50 Cent worked with Young Buck, Skip, and Wacko on multiple songs for his mixtapes including 50 Cent Is the Future. Young Buck would subsequently leave UTP to join 50 Cent's G-Unit. Soulja Slim was murdered November 26, 2003 and Corey Cee later left the group. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Rap-A-Lot is a hip hop record label co-founded by James Prince and Cliff Blodget in 1986. Smoke-a-Lot Records is a subsidiary. Rap-A-Lot was first distributed by A&M Records with the release of Raheem's 1988 debut ''The Vigilante''. The label was distributed through the 1990s by EMI's Priority Records (1991–1994), Noo Trybe Records (1994-1998), and Virgin Records (1998–2002). In the 2000s, it was distributed by Asylum Records and then Fontana Distribution. On August 22, 2013, Rap-A-Lot announced a distribution deal with RED Distribution. History The label was formed filling in a gap for recognition and promotion of southern talent especially in the Houston area. Marece Benjamin Richards (born September 2, 1983), better known by his stage name Rich Boy, is an American rapper from Mobile, Alabama. He is best known for the hit single "Throw Some D's" (featuring Polow da Don) released in August 2006. It was the lead single for his eponymous debut album, released a year later in March under Polow da Don's Zone 4 and Interscope Records. In 2009, one of his follow-up singles " Drop" became popular online through remixes and freestyles from then-upcoming internet rappers, including Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi, and Earl Sweatshirt. Devin Copeland (born June 4, 1970), better known by his stage name Devin the Dude, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. He is known for his unique rapping style and his 2002 songs "Lacville '79" and "Doobie Ashtray". Early life Devin Copeland was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 4, 1970. He spent most of his early childhood in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Houston, Texas while in the fourth grade.
