Baby V.O.X
Baby V.O.X ( ko, 베이비복스) was a South Korean K-pop group formed in 1997, whose final and best-known line-up consisted of Kim E-Z, Lee Hee-jin, Kan Mi-youn, Shim Eun-jin, and Yoon Eun-hye. They are considered one of the most prominent "first generation" K-pop girl groups of the late 1990s and early 2000s along with S.E.S and Fin.K.L, and they are recognized as being one of the groups at the forefront of the Korean Wave, having broken into the Chinese market. The group released seven studio albums and disbanded in 2006. History Debut and early years (1997–1999) Baby V.O.X debuted in 1997 as a five-member group consisting of Kim E-Z, Lee Hee-jin, Jung Hyun-jeon, Cha Yu-mi, and Jung Shi-woon. Their debut single was entitled ''Hair Cut'' and taken from the album ''Equalizeher'', released on July 10, 1997. Shim Eun-jin ( ko, 심은진; born February 6, 1981) is a South Korean singer and actress. She was a member of South Korean girl group Baby V.O.X. Career Shim Eun-jin launched her singing career in 1998 as a member of Baby V.O.X, one of the most prominent South Korean girl groups of the 1990s. She was the first to leave the group at the end of 2004, publicly stating that she did not agree with the direction their record company DR Music was heading. After a short absence from the entertainment scene, she re-emerged at the end of 2005 with her first solo album, ''Zeeny's'', which was released by the label CJ Music on December 16, 2005. The first single, "Oopsy," was a sexy dance number, allowing Shim to showcase her sexy dance moves (which she was best known for during her time as a Baby V.O.X member). ''Special Album'' is the first and only compilation album by South Korean girl group Baby V.O.X. It was released on March 30, 2002 by DR Music. The single "Coincidence" was used to promote the 2002 FIFA World Cup; a special World Cup-themed video for the song was released. "Go" was later used for their debut mini album in Japan in 2003. "Coincidence" marked their first number one hit in three years since their single "Get Up". ''Special Album'' is their best selling album to date, selling over 440,000 copies. The album came with three CDs, one VCD, and a photobook containing pictures of the members. The first CD contains the two new songs plus a non-stop dance mix, mostly of previous singles.
