Baby Beach, Aruba
Baby Beach officially known as Klein Lagoen, is a shallow, sheltered man-altered lagoon located in the Mangle Cora locality near the village of Seroe Colorado (formerly Roode Berg), on the south-west side of the south-east end of the island of Aruba. It is frequented by locals and tourists. It is nicknamed Baby Beach as the water is so calm it is safe for very small children. Because of the calm water, snorkeling at this beach is safe for children and others new to snorkeling. The beach is popular mostly due to the lack of waves and the shallow water. The "Refineria di Aruba" oil refinery is within sight of Baby Beach. However, because of the direction of local currents, Baby Beach has clean, clear water. The water level is generally waist high on the inside but towards the inlet, it deepens significantly. Flag Of Aruba
Aruba's national flag was adopted on 18 March 1976. The design consists of a field of light blue (called " United Nations Blue"), two narrow parallel horizontal yellow ("Bunting Yellow") stripes in the bottom half, and a four-pointed white-fimbriated red ("Union Flag red") star in the canton. Barracuda
A barracuda, or cuda for short, is a large, predatory, ray-finned fish known for its fearsome appearance and ferocious behaviour. The barracuda is a saltwater fish of the genus ''Sphyraena'', the only genus in the family Sphyraenidae, which was named by Constantine Samuel Rafinesque in 1815. Squid
True squid are molluscs with an elongated soft body, large eyes, eight arms, and two tentacles in the superorder Decapodiformes, though many other molluscs within the broader Neocoleoidea are also called squid despite not strictly fitting these criteria. Tetraodontidae is a family of primarily marine and estuarine fish of the order Tetraodontiformes. The family includes many familiar species variously called pufferfish, puffers, balloonfish, blowfish, blowies, bubblefish, globefish, swellfish, toadfish, toadies, toadle, honey toads, Haaris Anwar fish, sugar toads, and sea squab. Pomacanthidae
Marine angelfish are perciform fish of the family Pomacanthidae. They are found on shallow reefs in the tropical Atlantic, Indian, and mostly western Pacific Oceans. The family contains seven genera and about 86 species. They should not be confused with the freshwater angelfish, tropical cichlids of the Amazon Basin. Lago Colony
Lago Colony was a community located on the east end of the island of Aruba, near the area presently known as Seroe Colorado. The town consisted of 377 homes, a hospital, church, club house, bowling alley, and an American School, with first through twelfth grades and approximately 180 students. The population of Lago Colony was primarily from the United States, although there was a large population from England, Ireland, and Scotland who were primarily officers on the lake tanker fleet. In addition there were Dutch, Danish, Spanish and other nationalities represented in the community. This town was supported by a large oil refinery in the world, which at that time was owned by a subsidiary of Standard Oil of New Jersey, known as Lago Oil and Transport Company.
