Babar Luck is a songwriter and musician based in the UK. Born in Pakistan in 1970 he moved to London at the age of eight years and was educated in East London Background Former bassist of the British skacore band King Prawn, Babar Luck has also recorded with numerous musicians including Suicide Bid & Ocarina, has also performed & recorded material with Sandra Falk, Captain Hotknives & Lu Edmonds and continues to create music with an array of players from all walks of life. Babar Luck has also performed at many festivals of various 'genres' including Transmusicales Festival in France, Beautiful Days Festival in the UK & Denmark's massive Roskilde Festival. WOMEX (short for Worldwide Music Expo) is an international world music support and development project based in Berlin, whose main event is an exposition held annually in different locations throughout Europe. It integrates a trade fair, showcases, conferences, film screenings, networking sessions, and awards. Musicians and their labels have the possibility to make contacts for international touring and album distribution. St Barnabas Community Fete (Bowstock)
St Barnabas Community Fete (also known as Bowstock) was an annual fête and music festival held on Wennington Green in Mile End Park, Bow, London, England. It was run by local volunteers, who started the fete in 2003 as a non-religious, participatory, free and not-for-profit festival to bring together residents of all ages, faiths, abilities and races, to draw attention to local issues and to encourage volunteering and community action. The festival was directed by the vicar of St Barnabas, Father Brian Ralph, nicknamed the "rock vicar". The festival ran until 2012. Beautiful Days (festival)
Beautiful Days is a music festival that takes place in August at Escot Park, near Ottery St Mary, Devon. The festival was founded by, and is managed by the band The Levellers and was first held in 2003. The festival has no corporate sponsorship or branding, leading to Virtual Festivals proclaiming it "the festival that sells out ... by not selling out". In 2011 Beautiful Days was pronounced "Best Family Festival" by the UK Festival Awards, later winning the "Grass Roots Festival Award" in 2015, as well as the "Best Medium Festival" award from FestivalKidz the same year. Every festival from 2003 to 2021 sold out in advance; although the 2020 festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The current capacity is 17,500.
