BV RZ
Basketballvereniging Rotterdam-Zuid ( in English: Rotterdam South Basketball Club), commonly known as RZ is a basketball club from Rotterdam. History RZ was founded in 1956 and has for many years with a great commitment of board members, executives and also ordinary members and players, that can no longer think sports in sport country. RZ fought until the early nineties in the highest national league and even European Cup matches played at European level in Ahoy, as against Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv or Real Madrid. During the heyday played men like John Loorbach, Marcel Welch, Jan Dekker and the "Famous Mister" Jackie Dinkins who was a phenomenon far beyond the border. For years was the home of South Rotterdam, the sports hall Enk, sphere of activity. After a glorious history in the former decades, also escaped RZ not a drop of the low point in 1996, a fire in the clubhouse and only a membership of 60 members. Topsportcentrum Rotterdam
Topsportcentrum Rotterdam is an indoor arena located in Rotterdam next to the Feijenoord Stadion. The arena opened in 2000 and has a capacity of 2,500 seats. It holds many sports events in various sports and levels, such as international World and European Championships and Dutch National Championships. The complex exists as two sporting halls. The first is located on the first floor and is 48x28 metres, while the pitch is 40x20 metres. On the second floor another sports hall of 44x24 metres is located. The pitch in this hall is 40x20 metres also, but the underground is rebound ace hardcourt. As well as the sporting facilities, various hotel, restaurant and cafe facilities are available. Muhafızgücü
Muhafızgücü SK were a Turkish sports club based in Ankara, Turkey. The club was founded in Ankara after order by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on July 18, 1920. The club was founded under the name ''Muhafız Alayı'' by Mülazım İsmail Hakkı Bey as chairman. On 1 June 1923, the club's name was changed to Muhafızgücü. Muhafızgücü were active in football, basketball, athletics, equestrianism, cycling, polo, and volleyball. They achieved their greatest success in football, when they became Turkish champions in 1927 and in basketball, as they won the Turkish League in the 1973–74 season. Since Muhafızgücü were a military club their colors were red and white, the colors of the Turkish flag. The club was dissolved in 1981. Jacky Dinkins
Jackie Dinkins (January 22, 1950 – March 7, 1983) was an American professional basketball player. He spent one season in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Chicago Bulls during the 1971–72 season as a small forward. Professional career Born in Gadsden, South Carolina, he was drafted by the Bulls in the ninth round (150 overall) from Voorhees College. In his one NBA season, Jackie appeared in eighteen games, averaging 2.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game. He later played in Belgium. From 1973 to 1975, he played two seasons for RZ (named Transol RZ for sponsorship reasons) in the Dutch Eredivisie. Dinkins helped RZ become a popular basketball team in Rotterdam. SP Federale Lugano was a Swiss professional basketball club based in the city of Lugano in the canton of Ticino. History Federale was founded in 1942 but had to wait until the 70s to see the first major successes. The club won in the seventies three national league titles and 2 national Cups.
