BTC Racing
BTC Racing is a British auto racing team based in Brackley, Northamptonshire owned and run by Steve Dudman. The team is best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship. British Touring Car Championship Lexus IS (2006–2007) They ran 2 Lexus IS 200 cars for Chris Stockton and Darren Dowling in the latter two rounds of the 2006 British Touring Car Championship season in preparation for a fuller campaign the following season. They retained Stockton for 2007 but signed Nick Leason as their second driver, although he ultimately only contested the first 3 rounds. Lexus IS and SEAT Toledo (2008) For 2008, Stockton was joined initially by truck racing champion Stuart Oliver. They replaced the Lexus cars with ex- Motorbase SEATs after two rounds, but had little success. The team missed round 6 at Snetterton after reported financial problems. 2009 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 52nd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Brands Hatch on the Indy layout on 5 April and finished after 30 races over 10 events on the Grand Prix layout at Brands Hatch on 4 October. Colin Turkington won the championship for the first time, ahead of Jason Plato and Fabrizio Giovanardi. The season also saw Airwaves BMW score their first win in the series when Rob Collard won the second race of the day at the opening meeting at Brands Hatch. The team seemed to have added a second win in race three as Jonathan Adam crossed the line first but he was demoted to second after making contact with Jason Plato handing Plato the win. Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom. Originally used as a grasstrack motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events. Daniel Lloyd (racing Driver)
Daniel Lloyd (born 4 March 1992) is a British racing car driver and the 2009 champion of the Renault Clio UK Winter Cup. Lloyd was born in Huddersfield. After competing in the Skip Barber National Championship in the first half of 2010, he made his début in the British Touring Car Championship at Croft. In 2011 he raced in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, qualifying on pole in his debut race and eventually scored two victories and finished third in the championship. For 2012, he raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain series with Team Parker Racing and scored his first victory in round 6 in the monsoon conditions at Thruxton, just beating rival Glynn Geddie. Knockhill Racing Circuit is a motor racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland's national motorsport centre. The circuit is located in the countryside about north of Dunfermline. It is the only FIA approved circuit in Scotland. History The circuit opened in September 1974. Chris Smiley (born 6 April 1992) is a British racing driver. He is a British Touring Car Championship race winner and the current TCR UK Touring Car Championship champion. Racing career Early career Smiley began his career in karting in 2000 he finished 3rd overall in the BRDC Stars Of Tomorrow in 2006, he also raced in the Ginetta Junior Championship after winning the junior scholarship in 2007. Dave Newsham
David Newsham (born 7 July 1967) is a British auto racing driver and businessman. He is the managing director of Norscott Vending. He raced in the British Touring Car Championship from 2011 to 2017, but in 2016, he competed in the British Rallycross Championship, only entering two rounds of the BTCC in place of Kelvin Fletcher. He announced his retirement from the BTCC on 9 January 2018. Ray Mallock Ltd., also known as RML Group, is a motorsports and high performance engineering company, based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.
