The Slovenská Basketbalová Liga (SBL) ( en, Slovak Basketball League) is the highest level tier league of men's professional club basketball in Slovakia. The league was founded in 1993. 2018–19 Slovak Basketball League
The 2018–19 Slovak Basketball League season will be the 27th season of the top-tier basketball competition in Slovakia. Levickí Patrioti are the defending champions. Competition format Ten teams joined the regular season, consisted in playing against each other four times home-and-away in double a round-robin format. The eight first qualified teams advance to the playoffs. Teams After the resignation of Košice, runner-up of the previous season, to continue playing in the league, Lučenec, champion of the 1.Liga, replaced them. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe. Format In the Regular season, 56 teams are divided into 14 groups of four teams. In the Round of 32, the first and second best teams from the Regular season play in groups of four. Starting from the Round of 16, quarter-finals will be played. The tournament will conclude with a Final Four. Teams The deadline to register in the competition was on July 30.
