BC Goverla ( uk, БК Говерла) is a professional basketball club based in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. The team plays in the Higher League, the Ukrainian second division. The team colours are green and yellow. History The club was founded in August 2002. Goverla entered the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague, the highest tier of professional basketball in Ukraine, in 2009. History The university opened in 1930 as the National Institute of Physical Education of Ukraine in Kharkiv. 2014–15 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague
The 2014–15 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague was the 24th edition of the Ukrainian top-tier basketball championship. The season started on October 11, 2014 and ended on May 4, 2015. Because of the unrest in Ukraine, just 7 foreign players played in the league this season. BC Donetsk and BC Azovmash didn't participate this season. In the regular season, Khimik took the top seed unbeaten with a 30–0 record, and eventually took the title after winning 36 games in a row. Ryan Pearson (born February 27, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is known for his All-American college career at George Mason University. Dante Swanson (born January 23, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Tulsa from 1999 till 2003. With Tulsa, he was a NIT champion in 2001. In 2001 and 2002, he was named to the WAC All-Defensive Team. In 2003, Swanson started his professional career. In 2007, he signed with AZS Koszalin, where he would stay three straight seasons. Jeremy Lamar Chappell (born June 10, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for New Basket Brindisi of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and FIBA Basketball Champions League. He played college basketball at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Seamus Boxley
Seamus Boxley (born September 21, 1982) is a former American former professional basketball player. Boxley played the power forward position. He played college basketball for Portland State, and after that spent time playing professionally in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Belgium. Career On July 2, 2013 Boxley signed with BC Goverla. His contract was dissolved in March 2014 because of the 2014 Ukrainian revolution. For the 2014–15 season Boxley signed with the newly formed Belgian team Limburg United. On March 24, 2015, he extended his contract with Limburg for one more season. However at the end of the season he left Limburg. On July 8, 2015, he signed a one-year deal with Spirou Charleroi. After the 2015–16 season, Boxley retired.
