BAFTA Game Awards
The BAFTA Games Awards or British Academy Games Awards are an annual British awards ceremony honouring "outstanding creative achievement" in the video game industry. First presented in 2004 following the restructuring of the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards, the awards are presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Since the inaugural BAFTA Games Awards in 2004, eighteen ceremonies have taken place. The most recent, the 18th British Academy Games Awards, was held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 7th of April 2022. British Academy Games Award For Performer In A Leading Role
The British Academy Video Games Award for Performer in a Leading Role is an award presented annually by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in honor of the best leading performance featured in a game "from voice artistry through to motion capture". BAFTA has honoured video game performances since the 8th British Academy Video Games Awards ceremony in 2012, with Mark Hamill winning the inaugural award for his performance as the Joker in '' Batman: Arkham City''. From 2012 to 2019, performers in both leading and supporting roles were considered together in the merged category of British Academy Games Award for Performer but, as of the 16th British Academy Games Awards, during a reconfiguration of categories, BAFTA announced that the Performer award would be split into both Leading and Supporting categories. ''Metroid Prime'' is an action-adventure video game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. ''Call of Duty'' is a 2003 first-person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is the first ever Installment in the ''Call of Duty'' franchise, released on October 29, 2003, for Microsoft Windows. The game simulates infantry and combined arms warfare of World War II using a modified version of the id Tech 3 engine. Much of its theme and gameplay is similar to the Medal of Honor (video game series), ''Medal of Honor'' series; however, ''Call of Duty'' showcases multiple viewpoints staged in the American, British, and Soviet theaters of World War II. The game introduced a new take on AI-controlled allies who support the player during missions and react to situational changes during gameplay. ''Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising'' is a turn-based strategy video game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It was released in North America and PAL regions in 2003. It is the second game in the ''Advance Wars'' sub-series of ''Nintendo Wars''.
