BA-099
The Rodovia Estrada do Coco and Linha Verde, (BA-099), is a state highway which runs through the northeastern part of the state of Bahia and southeastern region of the state of Sergipe in Brazil. The road connects the city of Salvador, the capital of Bahia, to the city of Aracaju, the capital of Sergipe. History The highway is maintained by a state concession to the private company CLN (Concessionária Litoral Norte) since 2001, and so is a toll road. This ownership transfer has improved road quality and safety. Salvador International Airport
Salvador – Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport , formerly called Dois de Julho International Airport and known by the Trade name Salvador Bahia Airport is the airport serving Salvador, Brazil. Since 16 June 1998, by Federal Law, the airport is named after Luís Eduardo Maron Magalhães (1955–1998), an influential politician of the state of Bahia. It is operated by Vinci SA. Itaparica
Itaparica is an island located at the entrance of Todos os Santos Bay on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It is located about from the city of Salvador, Bahia and covers . There are two municipalities on the island: Vera Cruz (87% of the land area) and Itaparica (13%). Itaparica has of beaches and exuberant tropical vegetation. History Itaparica was home to a large Tupinamba population. Amerigo Vespucci arrived at the island on November 1, 1501.
