B6 (musician)
Lou Nanli (born 1981 in Shanghai, China), better known as B6, is a Chinese DJ, music producer, multimedia artist and graphic designer. He began producing electronic music and sound art in 1999 as B6, and graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2004. He is often cited as being one a pioneer of the Chinese electronic music scene. Biography In 2000, he founded the independent record label, Isolation Music. He also released a series of his own compositions while producing the sound and album artwork for a number of alternative underground musicians. His own music covers a variety of genres ranging from techno and house, to Industrial dance, IDM, Ambient music, Ambient, Electro, Experimental music, Experimental and Industrial Noise. He is also the co-founder of the arts and culture website Neocha.com, and Antidote Shanghai. In 2006, he released ''B6 Box'', a six-CD compilation of his early work. China Academy Of Art
China Academy of Art (), also translated as China National Academy of Fine Arts, was founded in Hangzhou in 1928 by the government of the Republic of China (1912–49), Republic of China and the renowned educator Cai Yuanpei. It was the first art university and first graduate school in Chinese history. In 2016, the Academy has been approved to be jointly-administrated by Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture. Industrial Dance
Electronic body music (acronymized to EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of disco and dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe as an outgrowth of both punk and industrial music cultures. Antidote Shanghai
Antidote Shanghai is a group of Chinese music producers and DJs that host several monthly events in Shanghai, and in other cities around Greater China. Origins Antidote Shanghai began in 2005 at a party in a small Shanghai bar called C's club. The event turned into a monthly phenomenon and moved on to larger venues such as the Shelter Club and features independent Chinese music producers. Most notable among them are Shanshui Records, founder of Sulumi, Antidote co-founder B6, and other foreign guests.
