Regions Of Vietnam
The Vietnamese government often groups the various provinces and municipalities into three regions: Northern Vietnam, Central Vietnam, and Southern Vietnam. Southeast (Vietnam)
Đông Nam Bộ (literally "Southeast region") is a region in Vietnam. This region includes one municipality, Ho Chi Minh City; and five provinces: Đồng Nai, Bình Dương, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu province, Bình Phước and Tây Ninh. The two southern provinces Ninh Thuận and Bình Thuận are sometimes seen as part of the Southeast region. This region is the most economically developed region in Vietnam. District-level Town (Vietnam)
District-level town (thị xã), a type of second tier subdivision of Vietnam is divided into 713 units along with urban district, district, municipal city, and provincial city have equal status. Also by virtue of Decree No. 42/2009/ND-CP, town are officially classified into Class-3 or Class-4. The towns may only be a capital of a province, but not of a municipality as the Second Tier unit. At the Third Tier, Town is divided into wards and communes. Most provincial capitals were once towns, but now most of them have become provincial cities. Dĩ An
Dĩ An is a city of Bình Dương Province in the Southeast region of Vietnam, about 20 km north of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). It is 1,706 km by rail from Hanoi. At the 2009 census the city had a population of 73,859. The town covers 60 km². Dĩ An consists of seven districts: Dĩ An, An Bình, Bình An, Bình Thắng, Đông Hòa, Tân Bình and Tân Đông Hiệp. Transport The city is the proposed junction for the Trans-Asian Railway that would connect half a dozen railways in southeast Asia, starting with Cambodia.
