Béla Kovács (clarinetist)
Béla Kovács (May 1, 1937 – November 7, 2021) was a Hungarian clarinetist. Education Kovács was born in Tatabánya, Hungary. He graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. Performance career Kovács was principal clarinetist with the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra since 1956, until he retired in 1981. Teaching career Kovács has been a Professor of Clarinet at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz Graz (; sl, Gradec) is the capital city of the Austrian state of Styria and second-largest city in Austria after Vienna. Béla Kovács (20 April 1908 – 21 June 1959) was a Hungary, Hungarian politician, who served as Minister of Agriculture of Hungary, Minister of Agriculture from 1945 to 1946 and in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Biography Béla Kovács was born in Hungary in 1908. He became involved in politics and joined the Independent Smallholders, Agrarian Workers and Civic Party, Smallholders Party (FKGP). It drew most of its support from the peasants who formed more than 50 percent of the country. However, until 1939, the ballot had been open in rural constituencies, and therefore large landowners were able to force most peasants to vote for the government party. The leaders of the Smallholders Party were mainly members of the middle class and their political views varied from liberalism, liberals to socialists.
