Die Ärzte
Die Ärzte (; ) is a German rock band from Berlin. The band has released 14 studio albums. The group consists of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B and bass player Rodrigo González. All three write and perform their songs. History Early years Die Ärzte were formed in West Berlin in 1982 by Jan Vetter (alias Farin Urlaub, a pun on the expression "Fahr' in Urlaub", meaning "Go on vacation"), Dirk Felsenheimer (alias Bela B, referring to Dracula actor Bela Lugosi) and bassist Hans Runge, alias . Bela and Farin had previously played together in the punk band Soilent Grün, established in 1979 and named after the film ''Soylent Green''. After Soilent Grün broke up in 1982, Bela and Farin decided to form another band. In the first two years (including Sahnie) they mostly played in clubs in their hometown, Berlin. Their first release was a contribution to the sampler ''20 schäumende Stimmungshits'' (rough translation: "20 foamy party hits"), featuring a strong alcohol th ...

Unrockbar
"Unrockbar" is a punk song by German band Die Ärzte. It's the first track on CD2 and the first single from their 2003 album ''Geräusch''. The title is a self-derived German word which can be translated as "unrockable", "unable to rock", or "unable to be rocked". The lyrics tell the story of a man who, to his shock and dismay, realizes that his girlfriend dislikes rock music. References are made to Ricky Martin, Shakira as "unrockbar" and Beatsteaks as "rockbar" (in the song nothing is actually dubbed "rockbar" and "unrockbar", but are mentioned in corresponding contexts). Music video The music video was released on the " Dinge von denen" CD single as well as the ''Overkiller'' DVD. The video uses the album version (longer) of the song. There is also a split screen version of the video showing the storyboard, released on the Overkiller DVD and for free on the official website. In the video, a bunch of people are participating a self-help seminar in rock. The actors include ...

Übermensch
The (; "Overhuman") is a concept in the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. In his 1883 book ''Thus Spoke Zarathustra'' (german: Also sprach Zarathustra), Nietzsche has his character Zarathustra posit the as a goal for humanity to set for itself. The represents a shift from otherworldly Christian values and manifests the grounded human ideal. In English In 1896, Alexander Tille made the first English translation of ''Thus Spoke Zarathustra'', rendering as "Beyond-Man". In 1909, Thomas Common translated it as "Superman", following the terminology of George Bernard Shaw's 1903 stage play ''Man and Superman''. Walter Kaufmann lambasted this translation in the 1950s for two reasons: first, the failure of the English prefix "super" to capture the nuance of the German (though in Latin, its meaning of "above" or "beyond" is closer to the German); and second, for promoting misidentification of Nietzsche's concept with the comic-book character Superman. Kaufmann and others pref ...

"Wie es geht" ("How to do it", lit. "How it goes") is a punk song by Die Ärzte. It is the first track and the first single from their 2000 album '' Runter mit den Spendierhosen, Unsichtbarer!''. The singer addresses a woman, trying several times to tell her "I love you", but keeps on ending up saying "(I just don't know) how to do it"; at the end of the song he finally manages to say the words. Elke (song)
"Elke" is a punk song by German band Die Ärzte. It's the seventh track from their 1988 album '' Das ist nicht die ganze Wahrheit...'' The song's lyrics were inspired by an overweight fan and depict a fictitious love story between Urlaub and the eponymous fan. The music is unique, as the first verse is sung slowly and then the song goes to the chorus very abruptly and then progresses with fast singing. This makes it a live favourite, as witnessed by the inclusion of 1988 live version to ''Das Beste von kurz nach früher bis jetze'' and the single of 1999. It's also the twenty-second track on CD2 from their 1999 live album ''Wir wollen nur deine Seele''. "Die Schönen und das Biest" (''The Beauties and the Beast'') is the title of the single that was released to promote the album. The single is not the one featured on the album, which is much longer. The single version is from a concert at Rock am Ring (18 May 1997). Music video "Die Schönen und das Biest" The video is a ...
