Nicklas Bäckström
Nicklas Bäckström (; born 23 November 1987) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Bäckström was selected fourth overall by the Capitals at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Bäckström is renowned for his elite playmaking abilities, earning him a reputation as one of the league's most skilled passers. Since 2013–14, Bäckström began a streak of six-consecutive 50-assist seasons, one of only 26 players to ever accomplish the feat. He has since gone on to become Washington's all-time franchise leader in assists, and is second in all-time franchise points behind teammate Alexander Ovechkin. Niklas Bäckström (; born August 22, 1989) is a Swedish mixed martial arts fighter who competes in the Lightweight and Featherweight divisions. Niklas Oskar Bäckström (; born 13 February 1978) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender and current goaltending coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Anders Bäckström (born December 12, 1960) is a former Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who played for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Elitserien. Joakim Bäckström (born 16 March 1978) is a Swedish professional golfer. Bäckström was born in Umeå. He turned professional in 1999. Having failed to win a place on the European Tour in 2000, Bäckström spent his early career in Sweden on the Telia Tour, where he won the 2001 Gula Sidorna Grand Open and the 2002 Sunbyholm Open. Urban Bäckström (born 25 May 1954, Sollefteå, Västernorrlands län) is a Sweden, Swedish economist who was CEO of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise from 2005 to 2014 and governor of the Bank of Sweden from 1994 to 2002. Ralph Gerald Backstrom (September 18, 1937 – February 7, 2021) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre and later a coach, entrepreneur and hockey executive. He played in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings, and Chicago Black Hawks between 1956 and 1973. He also played in the World Hockey Association with the Chicago Cougars, Denver Spurs/Ottawa Civics, and New England Whalers from 1973 to 1977.
