Byron Irvin
Byron Edward Irvin (born December 2, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'5" (1.95 m) and 190 lb (86 kg) shooting guard, he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the 1989 NBA draft. He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks and Missouri Tigers. High school Irvin attended Chicago's Percy Julian High School. In his senior year of high school he averaged 32 points a game, and in one game he scored 50 points. College career He played collegiately at the University of Arkansas under legendary coach Eddie Sutton before Sutton left for Kentucky. College Basketball
In United States colleges, top-tier basketball is governed by collegiate athletic bodies including National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Each of these various organizations is subdivided into one to three divisions, based on the number and level of scholarships that may be provided to the athletes. Glenn Anton "Doc" Rivers (born October 13, 1961) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After playing for Marquette University for three seasons, Rivers was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association in 1983. He played point guard for the Hawks from 1983 to 1991 and later played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the New York Knicks, and the San Antonio Spurs.
