Eric James Byrnes (born February 16, 1976), is a baseball analyst and former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Seattle Mariners. Byrnes retired from playing in 2010 and was an analyst for MLB Network until 2021. Byrnes was considered a player who relied on his speed and hustle. He could hit for power, but tended to be a "free-swinger" and went through hitting droughts. Edward Byrne Breitenberger (July 30, 1932 – January 8, 2020), known professionally as Edd Byrnes, was an American actor, best known for his starring role in the television series ''77 Sunset Strip.'' He also was featured in the 1978 film '' Grease'' as television teen-dance show host Vince Fontaine, and was a charting recording artist with "Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me Your Comb)" (with Connie Stevens). Josh Byrnes (born June 23, 1970) is an American baseball executive who is senior vice president of baseball operations for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Byrnes began his career in 1994 as an intern with the Cleveland Indians. He rose to scouting director in 1998 and then joined the Colorado Rockies as assistant general manager after the 1999 season. Steven Patrick Byrnes (April 14, 1959 – April 21, 2015) was an American television announcer and producer. After graduating from college, he began his career as a sports producer, covering several NFL teams. In 1985, he began his involvement with auto racing, including most prominently NASCAR. In 2001, he began working with ''NASCAR on Fox'' as a pit reporter, and later became the host of Speed/Fox Sports 1's studio show ''NASCAR Race Hub''. Norman Thomas Byrnes (December 15, 1922 – July 9, 2009) was a 20th-century American attorney and public citizen of Boston, Massachusetts. Byrnes was born in Waterville, New York on December 15, 1922. He was one of 12 children (one of his siblings being professor and author Robert Byrnes) and grew up in relative poverty. He was graduated from Harvard College then fought in Western and Central Europe in World War II, where he earned a Bronze Star Medal and a battlefield commission as an officer.
