"Butterfly" is a song released by South Korean girl group Loona. It was released on February 19, 2019, as the title track from + + (EP), ''[X X]'', the repackage of the EP ''[+ +]'', which was released in 2018. Composition "Butterfly" is a dream pop, synth-pop and Electronic dance music, EDM song written by G-High from MonoTree and Jaden Jeong, with G-High also serving as the producer. Loona (commonly stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; ; ja, 今月の少女, Kongetsu no Shōjo, Girl of the Month) is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The group was introduced to the public through a pre-debut project that began in October 2016, where each of the 12 members was revealed in a periodic fashion by releasing a promotional single over the following 18 months. "Favorite" (stylized as "favOriTe") is the debut single released by South Korean girl group Loona. It was released on August 7, 2018, by Blockberry Creative as a digital single. This was their first release as a full twelve-member group. Composition The lyrics were written by Kim Su-jung and Jaden Jeong. It was produced by Sophia Pae and BADD's SlyBerry, Billie Jean, and Kim Jin-hyeong. It was described by '' Billboard'' as a brassy dance track that overflows with charisma and bright percussion. Adding that with prominent trills and trumpeting synths propelling the melody to its dynamic chorus, plus a woozy, alt R&B bridge later in the song, the song condenses the act's innovative nature into a boisterous tune.
