Butrint Vishaj
Butrint Vishaj (born 9 July 1987 in Neunkirchen) is an Austrian–born ethnic Albanian footballer who plays for ASK Horitschon in the Landesliga Burgenland, the fourth tier of Austrian football. Career Early career Vishaj was born to ethnic Albanian Kosovan parents in Neunkirchen, Austria, where he was also raised. He began playing football for SV Grünbach in 1994 where he would play until 2000. He moved to the BNZ Mödling football academy in 2000 after scouts had spotted the youngster. Neunkirchen, Austria
Neunkirchen () is the capital of the district of Neunkirchen in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. As of 2020 it has a population of 12,721. History Neunkirchen is one of the oldest settlements in the Vienna Basin. It has been permanently settled since the La Tène culture. There was a Roman settlement from about 30 to 400 AD near the inner city, but its name is unknown. Neunkirchen was first mentioned in 1094 as "Niuwenchirgun". The town was given city status in 1920. The Landesliga Burgenland is the football division of the Austrian state of Burgenland. It is in the fourth highest division in Austrian football for clubs of the Burgenland Football Association (german: Burgenländischer Fussballverband). Albanian Superliga
The Kategoria Superiore, officially known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons, is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The competition was founded in 1930 as the Albanian National Championship during the reign of King Zog, shortly after the creation of the Albanian Football Association. Since 1930, 45 clubs have competed in recognised competitions, while only nine clubs have won the title: Tirana (26), Dinamo Tirana (18), Partizani (16), Vllaznia (9), Skënderbeu (8), Elbasani (2), Teuta (2), Flamurtari (1), and Kukësi (1). The Albanians (; sq, Shqiptarët ) are an ethnic group and nation native to the Balkan Peninsula who share a common Albanian ancestry, culture, history and language.
