Butkevičius Cabinet
Butkevičius Cabinet was the 16th cabinet of Lithuania since 1990. It consisted of the Prime Minister, who was the Head of Government, and 14 government ministers from the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, the Labour Party (Lithuania), Labour Party, the Order and Justice, and the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania. History After the 2012 Lithuanian parliamentary election, parliamentary elections in 2012, President Dalia Grybauskaitė appointed Algirdas Butkevičius, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, as the Prime Minister on 26 November 2012. The cabinet received its mandate on 13 December 2012. At that time, the ministers in the Butkevičius Cabinet had the highest average age of all the cabinets in the independent Lithuanian history, with the average age of its members exceeding 54 years. Algirdas Butkevičius
Algirdas Butkevičius (born 19 November 1958) is a Lithuanian politician and was Prime Minister of Lithuania, serving between 2012 and 2016. He also served as the Minister of Finance from 2004 to 2005 and the Minister of Transport and Communications from 2006 to 2008. He led the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania from 2009 to 2017. Political career Butkevičius was born at Paežeriai village in Radviliškis district municipality. Since 1992 he is member of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (LSDP). He was chairman of the Vilkaviškis District section of LSDP in 1995–1997, deputy chairman of the LSDP in 1999–2005 (re-elected in 2001), and chairman of the LSDP since 2009. Jarosław (; uk, Ярослав, Yaroslav, ; yi, יאַרעסלאָוו, Yareslov; german: Jaroslau) is a town in south-eastern Poland, with 38,970 inhabitants, as of 30 June 2014. Saulius Skvernelis (born 23 July 1970) is a Lithuanian politician who served as prime minister of Lithuania between 2016 and 2020. He is currently a member of the Seimas. Algimanta Pabedinskienė (born 25 March 1965) is a Lithuanian politician who served as Ministry of Social Security and Labour from 12 December 2012 to 13 December 2016. Born in Latvia, Pabedinskienė moved to Lithuania at a young age, graduating from high school in Marijampolė, then graduating from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University with a degree in civil engineering. Juozas Olekas (born 30 October 1955) is a Lithuanian surgeon and politician, a former Minister of National Defence, from 2006 to 2008. Šarūnas Birutis (born September 20, 1961 in Šiauliai) is a Lithuanian politician. He was a member of the European Parliament for the Labour Party from 2004 to 2009.
