Buster Drayton
Moses Buster Drayton (March 2, 1952 – November 20, 2022) was an American boxer who won the IBF world title at light middleweight (154 lb). Drayton turned pro in 1978 and won the vacant IBF light middleweight title with a decision win over Carlos Santos in 1986. He defended the belt twice before losing it to Matthew Hilton the following year. In 1988 he took on WBA light middleweight titleholder Julian Jackson, but was defeated via TKO in the third round. He retired in 1995 at the age of 43. Military service Drayton joined the United States Marines during 1972, later rising to the rank of Sergeant. During 2016, he was honored for his service by the National Federation of Black Veterans. Return to the ring Drayton returned to the ring in an exhibition in 2012. Buster (comics)
''Buster'' was a British comic which began publication in 1960, originally published by IPC Magazines Ltd under the company's comics division Fleetway, then by Egmont UK Ltd under the same imprint until its closure in 2000. Despite missing issues due to industrial action during its run, the comic published 1,902 issues in total. The comic carried a mixture of humour and adventure strips, featuring the title character Buster and a host of other characters. Description The title character, whose strip usually appeared on the front cover, was Buster himself. He was originally billed as ''Buster: Son of Andy Capp''; Andy Capp is the lead character of the eponymous ''Daily Mirror'' newspaper strip, and Buster wore a similar flat cap to reinforce the connection. is an anime series developed by Sunrise and directed by Mitsuo Fukuda. ''The Killer Angels'' is a 1974 historical novel by Michael Shaara that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1975. The book depicts the three days of the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War, and the days leading up to it: June 29, 1863, as the troops of both the Union and the Confederacy move into battle around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and July 1, July 2, and July 3, when the battle was fought. Buster Gonad is a cartoon character in the British comic '' Viz''. The strip involves the surreal adventures of "the boy with unfeasibly large testicles". During a storm, Buster's gonads were zapped by cosmic rays which enlarged them to an enormous size, so that he needs a wheelbarrow to carry them around. As a result, they are impossible to conceal and are therefore out on open display for everyone to see and marvel at. Background The plot-lines vary, but are always bizarre, revolving around Buster's outstanding physical attributes being a blessing or a curse. Buster Capp
Buster Capp is a British comic strip series which debuted on 28 May 1960 in the magazine '' Buster'' and ran until January 2000. The character was the mascot of the magazine too. The series is a spin-off of ''Andy Capp'', starring Andy's young son Buster, despite not being drawn by the original artist of that comic, Reg Smythe. The first artist was Bill Titcombe, but Hugh McNeill took over as artist after less than a year. After a few years Àngel Nadal took over and drew the strip until 1974, when he was followed by Reg Parlett. Tom Paterson in turn took over from Parlett in 1985 and drew the strip until 1990. Buster Brown is a comic-strip character created in 1902 by Richard F. Outcault. Adopted as the mascot of the Brown Shoe Company in 1904, Buster Brown, along with Mary Jane, and with his dog Tige, became well known to the United States of America , American public in the early-20th century. The character's name was used to describe a popular style of suit for young boys, the Buster Brown suit, that reflected his outfit. Origins The character of Buster Brown was loosely based on Granville Hamilton Fisher, a son of Charles and Anna Fisher of Flushing, New York.
