Bustan (book)
The ''Bustan'' ( fa, بوستان, also transliteration, transliterated as ''Būstān'', ''Bustān''; "the orchard") is a book of poetry by the Persian poet Saadi Shirazi, Saadi, completed in 1257 Common era, CE and dedicated to the Salghurid Atabeg Sa'd I or Sa'd II. ''Bustan'' is considered one of two major works of Saadi. It was Saadi's first work. The book contains the fruits of Saadi's long experience and his judgements upon life, and is illustrated by a vast collection of anecdotes. It includes accounts of Saadi's travels and his analysis of human psychology. He often mentions his accounts with fervour and advice similar to Aesop's fables. The book has ten chapters regarding the issues of ethics and training; namely, justice, mercy, love, humility, contentment, devotions, education, gratitude, repentance, and praying. Boustan
Boustan is a Lebanese-Canadian fast food restaurant chain in Montreal, Quebec. It was established in 1986. ''Boustan'' is the Arabic word for orchard. History Imad Smaidi became the full-time owner of the restaurant, after being a silent partner. Smaidi immigrated to Canada from Lebanon in 1972, studied engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal and worked for Philips before having to quit to run Boustan full-time. The restaurant moved several times before settling in its current location, 2020A Crescent Street in downtown Montreal. Boustan has been frequented by, among others, former Prime Minister of Canada Pierre Trudeau and the now current Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. and some of the rosters from the Montreal Canadiens and Montreal Alouettes. Boostan ( fa, بوستان, , Garden), formerly exhibited as Carpet to the Throne ( fa, با فرش تا عرش, link=no), is a Persian carpet woven by Master Ali Khodadadi and is considered to be a masterpiece in the history of Persian art. About Boostan Master Khodadadi began the work of designing and weaving Boostan in March 1978. The design was described and dictated by Mr. Khodadadi and drawn by the late Master Archang Esfahani over the course of two months. Weaving began with a pile 7 centimeters thick (wool strands 7 centimeters long) and was completed in October 1979. The most important stage, and that which contributed the most to the artistic value of the carpet, the scissors work, was begun in November 1979 and completed in January 1986. Elisabeta Bostan (born 1 March 1931) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. She directed 25 films between 1956 and 1991. Biography Born in Buhuși, Bacău County, she attended the in Piatra Neamț, where she staged her first theater production at age 14. She then went to Bucharest, where she enrolled in the Institute of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale, graduating in 1954. Bostan Karim ''(also transliterated as Bostan Qaseem)'' is a citizen of Afghanistan, who was held in extrajudicial detention in the United States Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba.
