Bussdor United is a Nigerian football club formerly based in Port Harcourt but are now playing in Owerri. It is one of the few clubs in the country owned by a private entity and not a state government. History The club was founded by Oscar Igbokwe, President of Bussdor Group of Companies, an oil and gas conglomerate. The club rose from the amateur ranks to the professional first division in the first four years of their founding. Dan Anyiam Stadium is a Nigerian multi-purpose stadium located in Owerri, Imo State. History Located in the centre of Owerri, Imo State's capital, the capital of Imo State, the stadium is named after Daniel Anyiam, vice-captain of the first Nigeria national football team. In 2019, the Imo State governor Emeka Ihedioha during his "Rebuild Imo Project" awarded contracts for the renovation and rehabilitation of the Dan Anyiam Stadium alongside some other projects. Imo State

Owerri ( , ) is the capital city of Imo State in Nigeria, set in the heart of Igboland. It is also the state's largest city, followed by Orlu, Okigwe and Ohaji/Egbema. Owerri consists of three Local Government Areas including Owerri Municipal, Owerri North and Owerri West, it has an estimated population of about 1,401,873 as of 2016 and is approximately in area. The Nigerian National League (formerly known as ''National Division 1'') is the second tier of club football in Nigeria. History From 1997-2011, the league has been split into 1A for Northern teams and 1B for southern teams. The top two from each division are promoted to the Nigerian Premier League the next season.
