''Busby Marou'' is the debut studio album by Australian blues and roots band Busby Marou. The album was originally self-released in August 2010 and was re-released on Warner Music Australia's indie imprint, Footstomp Records in June 2011 with a deluxe edition being released in March 2012. In December 2010, in an interview with Deadly Vibe Magazine, Thomas Busby said "Most of our songs were written about home, or memories or places that we love and it's all really laidback, folky pop sort of tunes. Busby Marou
Busby Marou (pronounced buz-bee ma-roo) are an Australian musical duo originally from Rockhampton, Queensland. The duo consists of Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou while other musicians perform with them in concert. At the APRA Music Awards of 2012, the duo won "Blues & Roots Work of the Year" category. History 2007-2012: Career Beginnings and ''Busby Marou'' In 2007, Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou met in Rockhampton. Jeremy is of Torres Strait Islander heritage, and both performers come from musical families. With similar musical interests, the two combined to perform and write music under the name Busby Marou. Robert Hazard
Robert Hazard (né Rimato, August 21, 1948 – August 5, 2008) was an American musician. He wrote, composed, and recorded the song "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" in 1979, which was covered in 1983 by Cyndi Lauper, who turned it into a best-selling hit. He also composed the new-wave and MTV songs " Escalator of Life" and "Change Reaction", which he performed with his band, Robert Hazard and the Heroes, that was popular in the Philadelphia club scene during the 1980s. These songs appeared on the five song EP '' Robert Hazard'', released in June 1982 by his own record label "RHA Records", and the next November by major label RCA Records. Evan Griffith Dando (born March 4, 1967) is an American musician and frontman of the Lemonheads. He has also embarked on a solo career and collaborated on songs with various artists. In December 2015 Dando was inducted into the Boston Music Awards Hall of Fame. ''Car Button Cloth'' is the seventh studio album by the Lemonheads, and the last under their contract with Atlantic Records. The band, as it were, consisted mostly of Dando himself playing many instruments, including his usual guitars and lead vocals, and Patrick Murphy on drums, along with a series of session musicians and producer Bryce Goggin filling in on other instruments. Following the recording of the album, Bill Gibson, who had played bass on several tracks, joined the band for the supporting tour along with Dando and Murphy.
