Busbetrieb Aarau
''Busbetrieb Aarau AG'', is a public transport operator serving the city of Aarau, Switzerland and the surrounding areas in the Canton of Aargau. It was founded in 1958 and operates using the BBA Bus Aarau brand. Between 2002 and 2018, the Busbetrieb Aarau formed part of an umbrella brand, the AAR bus+bahn, along with the Wynental- und Suhrentalbahn (WSB). Vehicles of both undertakings prominently displayed the AAR bus+bahn brand, displacing their own brandings. The two companies shared some senior managers, but remained legally distinct. In 2018, the WSB became part of the Aargau Verkehr company and the AAR bus+bahn brand was disbanded. The Busbetrieb Aarau now operates under its own brand with its own management team. Solaris Bus & Coach is a Polish producer of public transport vehicles (buses, trolleybuses and trams), with its headquarters in Bolechowo-Osiedle near Poznań. It is a subsidiary of Spanish CAF. The Aargau S-Bahn (german: S-Bahn Aargau or german: S-Bahnen Aargau) is an S-Bahn-style regional rail network serving the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. History Upon the timetable change on 14 December 2008, an S-Bahn numbering system was introduced for regional rail services in Aargau. The new S-Bahn network was designed to complement the existing adjacent S-Bahn networks in Central Switzerland, Zurich and Basel. With that in mind, the line numbers selected for the new network were in the 20s (except the S14 Menziken–Aarau–Schöftland), so that there would be no conflict with the other networks.
