Burt Cockley
Burt Thomas Cockley (born 3 April 1986) is an Australian cricketer who has played for New South Wales and Western Australia. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. Born and raised in Newcastle New South Wales, Cockley attended school at Callaghan College. As a young cricketer he played for the Waratah-Mayfield District Cricket Club. At the age of 17 he made his First Grade debut for Waratah-Mayfield. Burt Grossman
Burt L. Grossman (born April 10, 1967) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Before becoming a professional, Grossman played college football at the University of Pittsburgh where he was a three time All-ECAC selection. In 1989, he was drafted by the San Diego Chargers. Grossman played six seasons in the NFL: five for the San Diego Chargers (1989–1993) and one for the Philadelphia Eagles (1994). As an NFL player, Grossman's accomplishments include 45 quarterback sacks and three safeties. Grossman appeared on the October 15, 1990, edition cover of ''Sports Illustrated'' under the title "Big Mouth," which chronicled his outspoken and outlandish personality. Burt Goldblatt (''né'' Burton George Goldblatt; 11 December 1924, in Dorchester, Massachusetts – 30 August 2006, in Boston) was an American art director, graphic designer, photographer, and author. He was best known for designing the covers of jazz albums. Biography Goldblatt fought in the Pacific theater as a member of the United States Army during World War II. After the war he attended the Massachusetts College of Art, and took a job in a print factory while doing contract work as an artist in Boston. In the early 1950s, he relocated to New York City, and in 1953 took a position with CBS, where he worked until 1955 doing advertising and design of show credits. Burt Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Chemistry at New York University. Goldberg received his B.S. from Pace University, an M.Phil from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and a Ph.D. from the University of Cardiff. Prior to retiring from research, his main area of focus was in microbiology. Burton Samuel Glinn (July 23, 1925 – April 9, 2008) was an American professional photographer who worked with Magnum Photos. He covered revolutionary leader Fidel Castro's entrance into Havana, Cuba, and photographed people such as Andy Warhol and Helen Frankenthaler. Glinn's photos show such things as the social scene of the rich, the dirtiness of politics, and the humorous flotilla that called itself the Seattle Tubing Society. He is noted for his Silly Symphonies work for Walt Disney Pictures, Disney, particularly the 1932 short film ''Flowers and Trees'' and the 1933 short film ''Three Little Pigs (film), Three Little Pigs'', both of which were awarded the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and both of which were selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry. Burt Wendell Fansher (6 May 1880 – 1 April 1941) was a Progressive party member of the House of Commons of Canada who, in the 1935 federal election, ran as a Reconstruction Party candidate. He was born in Florence, Ontario and became a farmer. Fansher attended Ontario Agricultural College. He was first elected to Parliament at the Lambton East riding in the 1921 general election when he defeated Conservative incumbent Joseph Emmanuel Armstrong. After serving one term at Lambton East, Armstrong defeated Fansher in the 1925 election. In the 1926 election, Fansher won back the riding from Armstrong. After another term, Fansher was defeated by John Thomas Sproule of the Conservatives in the 1930 federal election.
