Bursaray (sometimes stylized as ''BursaRay'') is a rapid transit system in the city of Bursa, Marmara Region, Turkey, built in 2000 by TÜVASAŞ, and operated by Burulaş. The name ''Bursaray'' is a portmanteau of ''Bursa'', and ''Ray'', the Turkish word for "rail". The Bursaray metro opened for passenger service on 24 April 2002. The metro system presently consists of two lines, which share a main line in the east, and branch into two lines at the western end of the system. It is planned to expand the Bursaray system to a network in the future. Bursa
( grc-gre, Προῦσα, Proûsa, Latin: Prusa, ota, بورسه, Arabic:بورصة) is a city in northwestern Turkey and the administrative center of Bursa Province. The fourth-most populous city in Turkey and second-most populous in the Marmara Region, Bursa is one of the industrial centers of the country. U5 (Frankfurt U-Bahn)
The U-Bahn Line B is the second line in the network of the Frankfurt U-Bahn. It leads in west–east direction from the central railway station (''Hauptbahnhof'') over the old town to Konstablerwache, where it splits into two branches to Bornheim (U4 service) and Preungesheim (U5 service). Originally planned as an independent main line, the D line represents an extension of the U4 to Bockenheimer Warte from the central railway station. The northern branch to Preungesheim was opened in 1974 and was used by the B1 service, and since May 1978 by U5. A large part of the route consists of a former tram line, which runs in Eckenheimer highway on street-level railway track. Rapids are sections of a river where the river bed has a relatively steep gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence. Rapids are hydrological features between a ''run'' (a smoothly flowing part of a stream) and a ''cascade''. The tram network is operated by Burulaş, which also operates Bursa's metro system called Bursaray. Duewag
Düwag or Duewag, formerly Waggonfabrik Uerdingen, was a German manufacturer of rail vehicles. It was sold in 1999 to Siemens with the brand later retired. History Duewag was founded in March 1898 as Waggonfabrik Uerdingen in Uerdingen and produced rail vehicles under the Düwag brand. After merging with Düsseldorfer Waggonfabrik in 1935, railway vehicles were built in Uerdingen, while the Düsseldorf plant produced mainly local traffic vehicles, namely tramway and light rail vehicles. In 1981, the company changed its name from Waggonfabrik Uerdingen to Duewag. Siemens acquired a 60% shareholding in 1989 before taking full ownership in April 1999.
