The names of 131 neighborhoods are unofficially defined by the D.C. Office of Planning. Wendell Felder (born 1990) is an American politician from Washington, D.C. Felder, a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party, serves on the Council of the District of Columbia, representing Ward 7. Early life Felder is a fourth-generation Washingtonian who grew up in Southeast (Washington, D.C.), Southeast D.C. and attended McKinley Technology High School. Felder went on to receive a B.S. from Bowie State University and a M.A. from Georgetown University. Career Felder commenced his career in public service in the D.C. Office of Community Relations and Services, where he served as a constituent services representative. Fairmount Heights is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,528. The town was formally incorporated in 1935, making the town the second oldest African-American-majority municipality in Prince George's County. The town is composed of six subdivisions: Fairmount Heights (1900), Waterford (1907), Mount Weissner (1909), North Fairmount Heights (1910), West Fairmount Heights (1911) and Sylvan Vista (1923). History Two Washington, D.C. land developers and lawyers, Allen Clark and Robinson White, platted the first subdivision of Fairmount Heights; separate developers platted the remaining five. Land speculators had purchased the farms that were previously in the area and consolidated the land for development. Clark and White sold the lots to African-Americans. Seat Pleasant is an incorporated city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, located immediately east of Washington D.C.. Per the 2020 census, the population was 4,522. Two state highways pass through the community — Maryland routes 704 (now called Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and previously named George Palmer Highway in honor of banker and community leader George Palmer) and 214 (Central Avenue).
