''Burning Love and Hits from His Movies, Volume 2'' is a compilation album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley. The album was released on November 1, 1972, on the budget label, RCA Camden. The contents of the album consist primarily of soundtrack recordings from various Presley films of the 1960s, augmented by both sides of his 1972 hit single, "Burning Love". Presley's recordings were generally issued by RCA on the standard Victor label, and not the budget Camden label; a similar compilation album, '' Separate Ways'', was issued a month later, which also featured a recent chart hit leading a collection of older, non-hit soundtrack recordings. Upon its release, the album reached number 22 on the ''Billboard'' pop album chart and number 10 on the ''Billboard'' country chart. In the mid-1970s, RCA Records leased the rights to reissue certain RCA Camden recordings by Presley and other RCA recording artists to the budget reissue label Pickwick Records. Winfield Scott Moore III (December 27, 1931 – June 28, 2016) was an American guitarist who formed The Blue Moon Boys in 1954, Elvis Presley's backing band. He was studio and touring guitarist for Presley between 1954 and 1968. Rock critic Dave Marsh credits Moore with inventing power chords, on the 1957 Elvis hit " Jailhouse Rock", the intro of which Moore and drummer D.J. Donald Irwin Robertson (December 5, 1922 – March 16, 2015) was an American songwriter and pianist, mostly in the country music, country and popular music genres. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. As a performer, he hit the US Top 40, Top 10 with "The Happy Whistler" in 1956 (Peaking at 6th).
