Burnett Miller
Robert Burnett Miller (September 2, 1923 – October 14, 2018) was an American politician who served as Mayor of Sacramento, California, in 1982. Biography Miller was born on September 2, 1923, in Sacramento, California, where his father was in the lumber business. He joined the ROTC at Santa Clara College in 1941. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was with the U.S. 11th Armored Division when it liberated the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria on May 6, 1945. Anne Rudin
Anne Rudin (January 27, 1924 – November 25, 2021) was an American politician who served as the 51st Mayor of Sacramento from her election in 1983 until she stepped down, after declining to seek a third term in 1992. She was Sacramento's first elected female mayor. Background Anne Rudin grew up in a working-class Italian American family in Philadelphia during the Great Depression. Rudin started her career as a registered nurse. She was also very active in the local and state League of Women Voters. Rudin was first elected to the Sacramento City Council in 1971. She played a significant role in the whirlwind of change and growth that transformed Sacramento from a quiet government and agricultural town into a bustling, large city. The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC ( or )) is a group of college- and university-based officer-training programs for training commissioned officers of the United States Armed Forces. Phil Isenberg
Phillip L. Isenberg (born February 25, 1939) served in the California State Assembly from 1982 to 1996. He represented the city of Sacramento and surrounding areas. The Holocaust
The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. Between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe; around two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population.
