"Burn" is a song by the American hip hop superduo ¥$, composed of rapper Kanye West and singer Ty Dolla Sign, from their debut studio album ''Vultures 1'' (2024). It was produced by both West and Ty Dolla Sign, along with Leon Thomas III and The Legendary Traxster. The song contains samples of "Love Me or Leave Me" by Band of Thieves. Composition The song uses a soulful sound and its style has been considered reminiscent of music from Kanye West's early career. Lyrically, West criticizes those who have been "entertained" by his pain, gloats about of his downfall, and addresses his controversies and financial troubles, which he tries to present as a positive situation, rapping "I burned еight billion to take off my chains". ''Vultures 1'' is the debut studio album by the American hip hop supergroup ¥$, composed of the rapper Kanye West and the singer Ty Dolla Sign. It was released independently by the former's YZY brand on February 10, 2024. Guest appearances include West's daughter North, India Love, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Nipsey Hussle, Quavo, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Bump J, Lil Durk, Rich the Kid and Chris Brown. Production was primarily handled by West and Ty themselves, alongside the Legendary Traxster, 88-Keys, Camper, JPEGMafia, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Ojivolta, Chrishan, Anthony Kilhoffer, and others. West and Ty Dolla Sign began recording the album with collaborators in Italy in October 2023, then relocated to Saudi Arabia for three months. Alexis Petridis ( el, Αλέξης Πετρίδης; born 13 September 1971) is a British journalist, head rock and pop critic for the UK newspaper ''The Guardian'', as well as a regular contributor to the magazine '' GQ''. In addition to his music journalism for the paper, he has written a weekly column in the fashion section of ''The Guardian'' Weekend section, as well as contributing to its "Lost in Showbiz" column. Of Greek descent, Petridis was born in Sunderland in the north of England, but grew up in Silsden, near Keighley in Yorkshire. The family later moved to Buckinghamshire. The Polish music charts are provided by ZPAV, the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Polish: Związek Producentów Audio-Video). Albums charts In the 1970s and the 1980s, Polish music monthly ''Non Stop'' published a year-end list of the best selling albums in Poland. In the mid-1990s, two monthly sales lists were launched and published in music magazines. The first one was a top 50 compiled by ZPAV, based on shipment, not sales, which continues to be published to date. The other was a top 100 called Gorąca Setka (English: Hot 100), printed monthly in ''Gazeta Muzyczna''. This chart was compiled from actual sale figures as reported by over 130 music shops across Poland and included both albums and singles. Lithuanian Neighbouring Rights Association ( lt, Lietuvos gretutinių teisių asociacija), known as AGATA, is a non-profit performance rights organization established in 1999 that deals with the licensing and rights of music publishers and performers in Lithuania.
