Burkhard Dallwitz
Burkhard von Dallwitz (born 28 January 1959) is a German Australian composer based in Melbourne, best known for his score for 1998 American film ''The Truman Show''. Since 1984, he has worked as a composer for feature films, television and commercials in Australia, Germany and the United States. Early life and education Dallwitz began ten years of classical piano training at the age of eight. By thirteen he was writing songs and music, and from fifteen, Dallwitz wrote, arranged and performed for various musical groups. In 1979, Dallwitz moved to Australia where he studied music at Melbourne's La Trobe University. He majored with musical composition, and studied advanced composition under the tutelage of Keith Humble. In 1996, he released his first CD recording of original instrumental works called ''Worlds Apart''. The Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC) is a not for profit organisation, which was established in 1981, "to represent the interests of Australian screen composers by developing and promoting employment opportunities, undertaking educational initiatives and increasing their profile amongst the industry." It was established by Bruce Smeaton and Bruce Rowland. Mormon Tabernacle Choir
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, formerly known as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, is an American choir, acting as part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It has performed in the Salt Lake Tabernacle for over 100 years. The Tabernacle houses an organ, consisting of 11,623 pipes, which usually accompanies the choir. The choir was founded on August 22, 1847, twenty-nine days after the Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley. Prospective singers must be LDS Church members who are eligible for a temple recommend, between 25 and 55 years of age at the start of choir service, and live within of Temple Square.
