Burgasbus
Burgasbus is the public transit service of the city of Burgas, Bulgaria. It serves the majority of bus routes in Municipality of Burgas (nearly 92%). It also runs to Varna, Yambol, Ruse and Elhovo. Burgasbus operates both diesel buses and the Burgas trolleybus system. Over 850 employees work for the company. History In 2007, soon after its coming into power, the new management of Municipality of Burgas started subsidizing Burgasbus, so that the company could afford to buy new and comfortable buses and trolleybuses. By now the firm possesses around 200 buses and 20 trolley buses, but still the majority of them are amortized. An important contribution to renewing the rolling stock has the former mayor of Burgas Mr. Ioan Kostadinov. In 1996 a great purchase was made with 30 brand-new Chavdar buses, made in Bulgaria. In 2005 12 recycled buses were bought. In 2008 another substantial renewing of the rolling stock took place when over 20 recycled buses, 10 recycled trolley buses and ...

Mercedes-Benz Buses
Mercedes-Benz has been producing buses since 1895 in Mannheim in Germany. Since 1995 Mercedes-Benz buses and coaches is a brand of EvoBus GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck. Heritage The world's first motorised bus was built in Germany by Karl Benz in 1895, some years before Gottlieb Daimler also started to build and sell buses in Germany as well. By 1898 both Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, then rivals, were exporting their buses to Wales and England. Soon Daimler products were sold in the British Empire in a partnership with the British company Milnes. Milnes-Daimler developed a double-decker in 1902 and provided a bus for the first motorised bus service in the United Kingdom the following year. Though the company met success in selling buses throughout the British Empire, the partnership between Daimler and Milnes had to be undone due to the First World War. Due to economic hardships in the early 1900s, Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie. merged int ...

Setra
Setra is a German bus brand of EvoBus GmbH, itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG. The name "Setra" comes from "selbsttragend" (self-supporting). This refers to the integral nature of the construction of the vehicles back in the 1950s when competitor vehicles still featured a separate chassis and body (often manufactured by separate companies). It is also possible that, with an eye to export markets, the company was mindful that for non-German speakers, the name " Kässbohrer" is difficult to pronounce. Until 1995 the firm operated under the name Karl Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH, but in that year economic difficulties enforced its sale to Daimler-Benz AG (between 1998 and 2008 known, especially in the United States, by the name of its holding company Daimler Chrysler). Since 1995, Setra has been a brand of the Daimler subsidiary, EvoBus GmbH. The North American distribution for Setra by Daimler was set to be partnered and taken over by Motor Coach Industries ...
